Bookings now open for 2026!

2026 promises to be a fantastic year for holidaying in West Wales. So please, drop us an email and we can get you booked in for your adventure of a lifetime.

The choice of things to do are quite remarkable here in Pembrokeshire. Our holiday cottage is self-catered and caters for all your needs. There’s a lovely electric fire where you can curl up with a book and a whiskey.

There’s so much to explore if you have young children – inside the cottage and out. The garden has wonderful cathedral views and is a great place for a bbq or a bit of rest and relaxation. It’s a real sun trap in the summer months.

Then there’s all the spectacular coastal walks and small fishing villages to explore. Not to mention the array of water sports and non water sports that are at your disposal. Who’s for tennis?

And did we mention the beaches? I suppose I could just answer that rhetorical question by looking at what I have already written…

No, we did not mention the beaches. There are lots of beaches with all manner of sand and also fish in the sea. There are rock pools which you can search for very small fish too.

St Davids, Pembrokeshire is such a wonderful place to visit and you will make memories that will last a lifetime.

So, unless we have a nuclear holocaust or a climate spasm, we look forward to welcoming you to Yewdale Cottage in 2026.

Looking forward to Christmas 2025

I know, I know, no one wants to think about Christmas when the sun is out. But as well as the sun, sea and surf in St Davids, Christmas is another wonderful time to spend a holiday in St Davids, Pembrokeshire.

We put up a lovely Christmas tree every year in our self-catering cottage that sleeps six. And the lights around the “city centre” are absolutely breathtaking. Plus, we have a warm, cozy fire to sit around and play gin rummy and drink gin.

There are so many beautiful events at the cathedral that you’ll feel like Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone. That bit where he goes to church and listens to the choir. That could be you.

Whether you want a romantic getaway or a family frolic, St Davids, Pembrokeshire is the place for you.

We start taking bookings around now for December so, although it feels like a long time away, now is a good time to act.

Give your friends and family a Christmas to remember – at Yewdale Cottage!

We are all booked up!

Hey guys!

Thanks to all you amazing supporters of Yewdale Cottage, the bookings have been great this year. It’s really wonderful to see as it helps so many of the local businesses and shops too.

It’s been a fantastic summer here in St Davids already! So much sun and the city is looking as beautiful as ever. You must come and see the cathedral, which is particularly spectacular.

So we really hope this is a turning point after a really tough few years. We were hit hard by Covid and on top of that we had to repair the entire roof! This threw us into considerable debt. It’s something we are only just climbing out of.

But it’s so worth it when we get fantastic reviews from people who love the cottage.

We feel so privileged that people are able to experience St Davids through our beautiful cottage.

Thank you all so much for a wonderful year. And get booking for late 2025 and 2026!

They are going like hot cakes! Or Welsh cakes! Haha.

And… We’re fully booked!

Sad news for anyone who was hoping to get a booking between now and the end of summer. But we are fully booked!

It’s been a really wonderful year after some very tough times over the past few years. As so many of you know, tourism has been hit so hard by both covid and a sputtering, spluttering economy.

So to start getting bookings by the bus load is really quite emotional for all of us family members who love this cottage so very much.

Thank you to all of you who have patronised and supported us over the last few years. There have been times where we thought we might have to jack it all in. We just couldn’t see a way out.

But, as a certain Bob Dylan once wrote – the times they are a changing.

And he wasn’t lying. Now we plan to reinvest and do everything we can to improve even more the experience of visiting St Davids and Yewdale.

Thank you all so much!

Family fun in St Davids

We find, with our young children, that there’s nothing more satisfying than a day on the beach. Children can entertain themselves for hours and hours, jogging around with bucketsful of salty water. Or paddling happily in the sea.

But, if you want to try some other adventurous activities, then St Davids is the place for you.

Firstly, the cliff walks are simply majestic. Yes, at first your children will probably whinge and moan a little. But once they are up on the cliffs, with the swell of the sea splashing their faces, they are going to be having a great time.

Secondly, you can choose all manner of fun activities if you head into the centre of town and check out Twr y Felin. They offer all sorts of high-octane adventure trips and have wonderful staff and opportunities.

As well as this, we highly recommend a boat trip to Ramsey Island. There are lots of different companies that offer this so please do shop around for the best offer.

All in all, there is so much to do in St Davids, Pembrokeshire, that you’ll never be bored or short of activities to take part in.
